This Privacy Policy describes how Spot Saver ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your personal information. We believe in complete transparency and data minimization: your data belongs entirely to you.

1. Information Collection and Storage

Spot Saver does not collect, transmit, sell, or store any personal data on external servers. All data generated within the app remains strictly on your local device:

• Location Data (GPS): When you tap "Save My Spot," the app requests access to your device's precise (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) and approximate (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) GPS coordinates solely to record where your vehicle is parked. These coordinates are stored locally in your device's browser/app storage (localStorage) and are never sent to external servers or third-party analytics providers.
• Camera and Photos: When you take or select a photo of your parking spot marker, the image is converted and saved locally on your device. We do not upload your images to any cloud storage or remote servers.
• Text Notes & Timestamps: Any notes you write (e.g., parking level, row number) and timestamps are stored strictly in local device memory.

2. Third-Party Services and Navigation

• Google Maps: When you tap "Navigate to Car," Spot Saver opens a standard web link or deep link to Google Maps (or your default map provider) using your locally saved coordinates to provide walking directions. Once you leave Spot Saver, your use of Google Maps is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Spot Saver does not share personal identifiers or account data with Google Maps.
• No Analytics or Trackers: Spot Saver does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking libraries, or analytics platforms.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Because all information is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your data:

• Clearing Data in the App: Tapping the "Clear Spot" button immediately erases your saved coordinates, notes, timestamps, and photos from device memory.
• Uninstalling the App: Clearing the app's cache/data in your Android device settings or uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored data.

4. Children’s Privacy

Spot Saver does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children or anyone else.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted directly within this policy document and reflected with an updated effective date.
